MARCH 28TH, 2023 – Vivien & Associés advised Kering Eyewear in the acquisition of UNT
As a major player in the luxury eyewear market, Kering Eyewear is strengthening its position in its business sector and continuing its industrial development strategy by signing an agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of the company UNT.
Founded in 1989 in Morbier, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in Eastern France, UNT is a key player in the manufacturing of high-precision metal and mechanical components for the entire luxury eyewear sector. UNT has been a longstanding business partner of Manufacture Kering Eyewear for the provision of its components and Kering Eyewear and UNT share the same vision and values of excellence, craftsmanship, innovation and sustainability.
The transaction is subject to the clearance by the relevant competition authorities and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2023.
Kering Eyewear has been advised in France by Vivien & Associés, with Jacques Epstein, Julien Koch and Julia Compagnone for the corporate aspects, and Joëlle Hannelais and Sarah Machrhoul for the labour law aspects.
