Tethys Instruments SAS (“Tethys”), a company based in Grenoble, France, has been sold to Horiba Advanced Techno Co. Ltd., (“HAT”), a Horiba Group company based in Kyoto, Japan, handling the water quality measurement business.
Tethys develops, manufactures and sells a wide range of products for water quality measurements. Horiba will take advantage of Tethys’s strengths in ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy to generate synergy with the HAT water quality business.
This acquisition strengthens HAT research and development of analytical systems to measure water qualities and enhances solution proposals to the market. Together, Horiba and Tethys will encourage new product development through a synergistic effect between their combined technologies.
