Vivien & Associés continues to promote internal growth and announces the appointment of Lisa Becker and Julien Koch, attorneys at law at the Paris Bar, as Partners in the firm’s Corporate/M&A team, effective January 1, 2023.

Since its formation, Vivien & Associés has focused on organic growth based onto the evolvement of its associates by offering them the opportunity to be closely involved with its practices and to contribute to the development of the firm. Thanks to this policy, more than half of the new partners are former associates of the firm.

Lisa Becker and Julien Koch have solid experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and strategic partnerships, enabling them to provide pragmatic and innovative solutions to a demanding and varied clientele, ranging from start-ups to large groups, including SMEs and public companies, in the context of their small and mid-cap transactions both in France and internationally.

For Lisa Becker, her appointment as a partner of Vivien & Associés means “continuing my professional development within a dynamic, multidisciplinary and high-quality group of partners serving a demanding clientele and being further involved in the development of the practice and the influence of the firm“.

I am very proud of this sign of trust“, says Julien Koch, “and I am determined to continue to provide tailor-made and pragmatic solutions to our clients’ needs, alongside our talented and dedicated team“.

Vivien & Associés now has 16 partners, 2 Counsel and 20 associates, of whom 10 partners and 11 associates comprise the Corporate/M&A team.

Lisa Becker

Lisa Becker has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2013 and holds a Master II degree in Corporate and Business Law and a D.J.C.E. (Diplôme Juriste Conseil en Entreprise), both from the University of Lorraine (Nancy).

Lisa started her career in the Corporate department of Latham & Watkins as an intern and then as an associate. She joined the Corporate/M&A team of Vivien & Associés at the end of 2014, and was promoted to Counsel in 2021, and partner in January 2023.

Lisa mainly advises French and international clients, mostly in the industrial sector, in the context of structuring transactions (acquisitions, disposals, restructuring) both domestic and cross-border. She has also developed her private equity practice and assists corporate entities, from start-ups to large groups, in their structuring and fund-raising operations, as well as investors, such as family offices or investment funds, in their participation in such capital-investment transactions.

His professional practice is marked by a strong technical background, a pragmatic and commercial approach to the matters entrusted to him, and an ability to conduct negotiations in difficult contexts (involving conflicts and international and multicultural issues). Julien has also developed an expertise in assisting French companies with their strategic partnership projects (joint-ventures) and in the development of their international operations.
